The Colorado State University Rams Hockey Team is excited to
announce the 2014-15 season schedule.
The Rams will play 36 regular season (ACHA) games and 4 exhibition
games. Of the 40 games, your Rams will
play 19 home games, 11 of which will be against fellow ACHA Division 1
opponents. Edora Pool and Ice Center
(EPIC), which is located just a few minutes drive from main campus, is the home
of CSU Rams Hockey and will host the vast majority of the team’s home
games. Other home venues will be the
Budweiser Events Center in Loveland Thursday November 6th vs. the
Colorado Buffaloes and NoCo Ice in Windsor Oct 17 and 18th when the
Rams host ACHA Division 1 newcomer Midland University Warriors out of Omaha,
NE. The team will also play at the Pepsi Center against the Buffs in January.
The Rams will play 16 WCHL (Western Collegiate Hockey
League) games, which will include defending ACHA D1 National Champion Arizona
State University, Oklahoma University (finished 4th last season),
University of Central Oklahoma (7th), University of Arizona (18th),
and in-state rival Colorado University.
The WCHL proved to be the toughest league in the ACHA last season and
will look to continue that trend in the coming year.
Non-league games include hosting Minot State University (6th),
Midland University, two-time NJCAA National Champion Williston State University,
WSHL Junior A Cheyenne Stampede, and in-state rivals Denver University (ACHA
D2) and Metropolitan State University (ACHA D3). The Rams will hit the road to challenge perennial
top teams Iowa State University (5th), University of Illinois (16th),
Mercyhurst (20th), Niagara University (21st), John
Carroll University (23rd), and Illinois State University (ACHA D2).
